Volavi was founded in 2005 as Aviacol.net, the brainchild of two young travel and aviation enthusiasts. Their goal was to create a community-style web portal that would bring together all sectors of the Colombian aeronautical industry.
Since then, Volavi has grown significantly in Colombia and the region, becoming one of the most recognized travel and aviation websites in the country and Latin America. Today, it is run by professionals from both industries, including pilots, frequent travelers, and specialized aviation/travel journalists and content creators.
After nearly 20 years, we have evolved to focus on the aviation, travel, and tourism sectors, which is reflected in our slogan: “fly · travel · live” (in Spanish, “volar · viajar · vivir”).
