Ya va muy adelante el b747-8, ya hay bastantes fotos de él, me gusta mucho este avión. Le hace falta el winglets tradicional del b747-400, parece una versión inferior, pero su gran longitud lo delata.

Further details emerge following 747-8F tug collision
By Jon OstrowerFurther details have emerged after one of Boeing's 747-8F flight test aircraft struck an airport tug causing significant damage to the exterior of the number four General Electric GEnx-2B engine.Source: http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/20 ... ision.html
The incident, which took place at Southern California Logistics Airport in Victorville on 31 May, was disclosed by Boeing on 3 June.
According to an incident report written following the collision, RC521, one of four aircraft in the 747-8F test fleet impacted the parked tug as it was fuelled to a gross weight of 379,000kg (835,000lbs).
When the tug cut loose, the aircraft was said to have deflected 10 to 15cm (4 to 6in).
The result of the impact was a 88.9 x 43.2cm (35 x 17in) hole on the aircraft's inlet cowl then "tapering into a dent 12.7cm (5in) in length on either side of the hole".
Additionally, the engine fan inlet cowl suffered a "jagged puncture through the honeycomb" that measured 43.2cm long and 2.5cm wide.
Boeing says the damage was superficial and none of the engine components were damaged in the collision.
No one was injured during the incident.
The aircraft returned to flight testing on 6 June following repairs to the engine cowl and inlet.
Cargolux unveils new livery on 747-8F
By Jon OstrowerEuropean cargo operator Cargolux has unveiled an updated livery ahead of its planned year-end delivery of Boeing's 747-8 freighter.Source: http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/20 ... 47-8f.html
Cargolux calls the new livery an "evolution" of its existing aircraft branding and provides "a glimpse of a new era for the company that will begin with the arrival of the aircraft in Luxembourg later this year".
The carrier explains the new design "stands for continuity and commitment while confirming the fundamental principles that made Cargolux successful over more than 40 years". The red, white and blue stripes symbolize the company's roots in Luxembourg."
Cargolux adds:"The expanding red colour towards the tail is a symbol of strength and growth, power and expansion. An additional logo on the belly further promotes the brand."
The new colour scheme will be applied to Cargolux's all-Boeing 747 fleet.
The aircraft featuring the new livery, RC503, is the fifth 747-8F built, and is slated to serve as the fourth flight test aircraft.
Boeing will use RC503 to conduct engineering flight tests to bolster the airframer's flight test hours in order to achieve its latest delivery target after incurring more than a year of delays.
Cargolux is expected to take delivery of the first of 13 new GEnx-2B-powered freighters by the close of 2010; however, Boeing has cautioned the end-of-year target may be at risk.
